Here is Cliff Simon being sculpted into Lord Commodore Ranor Broxton. If this detail is maintained throughout the digitization process, this would be incredibly amazing.
This used to be cost prohibitive just ten years ago. Only Hollywood studios and the like could have gone into this detail spending money like it was water… It was still very very expensive just a few years ago.
But now, computing power has increased so much with prices dropping like crazy, anyone (with talent) can compete on the same footing as the venerated artists living in the high castle.
Software that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars before has competitors that supply the same level of detail through open source software for free. The artists can now just grab their digital pen and pad and create to their heart’s content.
